Here's a copy of an email I sent yesterday to Lamaze International, in light
of their recent press release about being "baby-friendly".

I am so pleased to be part of an international organization that
supports and strives to comply with the WHO Code. As a board-certified
lactation consultant, prenatal educator and maternal-newborn nurse, I
know full well what an impact this will have on our society's overall
attitudes toward and support of breastfeeding.

However, I was dismayed to see, when we received a case of the 2000-2001
Edition of Lamaze Parents gift packs, that you have enclosed a sample of
Taster's Choice coffee.  Perhaps you aren't aware that Taster's Choice
is a Nestle product, and that Nestle is still under a world-wide boycott
for violating the very code you have vowed to uphold.

Please consider severing your ties with the WORST of the formula
producers! Perhaps there is another company (like Celestial Seasonings?)
that could provide samples of a relaxing, caffeine-free beverage for
your packs.
