This mum was admitted to hospital for ?incisional infection in addition
to UTI stuff. First the ER doc asks her if bf is more important than
her own health?
Mum again tells me that she is going to be firm and will insist on
continuing to bf.

So I go up and introduce myself to the ER doc and restate all the
previous stuff about Cipro and norfloxicin etc. He says that sounds
reasonable but needs to confer with OB.

So a few hours later (with mum on water only of course) the Ob GYN
shows up and SURPRISE she was the first with any sense. Admits her for
IV antibiotics, no problem with feeding and keeping baby with her. Mum
asks about thrush tx and OB asks her if she has heard of GV. Mum says
yes her Public Health Nurse told her all about it. YEAH!!

So things are looking up. I won't get too worked up yet though. The
floor staff haven't had a go at her yet.

Thanks for listening.
