Does anyone know of a good reason to deny a breastfeeding (15 months
postpartum -if you can say that) women Lasik eye surgery? I have been told
several reasons:
1. eye changes (my prescription has not changed in 5 years, which includes 2
pregnancies)
2. risk to baby due to steroids taken after surgery - as we all know there
is are several options to this one
So if anyone has a good argument for or against please e-mail me privately

Anecdotal.....a friend had it done when her nursling was about 10 mos old.
The only meds she took post op were eye drops for a three days. The docs at
Emory who did the surgery all knew she was bfeeding...no one seemed
concerned.
