I would like to compile a list of areas in which there are IBCLC's that are
not RNs working in hospitals. I know some of you wrote to Evonne but I would
need you to write me for I don't believe she was compiling a list. For those
interested, I won' t use names or exact hospitals unless you want me to and
then as an option you could give me your wage so that we could see a range.
The wages definately I would keep confidential by individual, just by range
and possibly region. I know this may help me in my quest for a raise, and
perhaps could help other non Rns to get into the hospitals. I do agree it
should be a profession on its own, that all disciplines bring skills,
strengths and merit to the profession. Also, for those RN ICBLC who are
wearing both hats and getting pulled into other duties, I sympathize with
you. We had some doing that in our community over the years and that is an
EXTRA tough job.
