Well it does seem kind of "tacky" but she *is* allowed to
advertise- lawyers hawk their services on TV "have you
been injured by your doctor or hospital? I can help you
collect what you are owed!".
Ideally a IBCLC would have a face-to-face meeting with her
client, but sometimes that just isn't possible. I live in
a small isolated island town (abt 120 births/year) and there are
*NO* LC's here. The L&D RNs are the "experts". In even smaller
neighboring villages there are no medical professionals at
all. There is no LLL chapter here.
Calling someone long-distance to discuss a breastfeeding
problem isn't ideal, but if there is no other option???
