Hi,
It is pretty difficult to suck 35-45 times a minute, breathe over 60 times a
minute and put swallows in there to boot.
Babies with resting respiratory rates over 60 often have cardiac or
respiratory problems and should be checked. Also, if it really requires 15
minutes for the baby to recover and reduce respirations below 60 that is a
REALLy long recovery time.
