My eldest son was married in May. He dated this girl for six years, and she
spent a lot of time in our house, and naturally on the second date I asked
her the important questions - breastfeeding, family bed, etc. Not in a
hostile way, but it comes naturally because this is what I'm always writing
about anyway. Well, she wasn't "on-side" at first, but we slowly converted
her. In fact, she ended up doing an essay on breastfeeding for one of her
college courses!

My son says he didn't ask her to marry him until last year because he was
waiting until she was completely converted!! Now she's planning (when she
gets pregnant - probably in a couple of years) a home birth, breastfeeding
for several years, a family bed, etc.

Well, we'll see how it all works out. But I did like his method!
