This poor mother! She needs support and reassurance that breastfeeding
her baby is the best thing to do. There are many, many reasons for
stained or discolored teeth.

I'll list a few questions. Has the baby been eating a lot of carrots,
or squash (betacarotene could be at work, here.) The baby's skin may
have an orange-y tint, as well.

Could it be flurosis, which is severe "molting" or discolorating from
too much fluoride? Remember, there is lots of fluoride in the water we
may drink, white grape juice and any fluroide supplements that may have
been given.

Did she experience any sort of vitamin deficiency during pregnancy?

What about her and the baby's fathers' family dental history? Finally,
can this stain be wiped off? Good luck and let us know what happens!

Kindly,
Heidi
