It's great to have you on board!

I agree one of the things I learned in residency is that often times children
get well in spite of what you do.

I just wish I had that list of specialists (dermatologist, orthos and the
like) that would see my patients.  In my part of the Central Valley if your
patient has Medi-Cal and Healthy Families Insurance (public stuff) your
patient will not be seen by the majority of the local specialists (even in an
emergency-which has created some nightmare transfer problems).  It's what
make my practice "interesting."  Gives me all the more impetus to be an
advocate for my patients.  That's what makes lactation support so exciting to
me: simple interventions that have a profound impact on the health and well
being of a child.

Saving that RX pad for "prescriptions" for children to read more, watch less
TV and get more exercise.
