Way to go, Julius! I've been routinely clipping tight frenulums when I see
them in the nursery. It's so simple and easy that I figure I'd just as soon
prevent problems than to have mom present with sore nipples or a baby present
with poor weight gain a week later. Clipping a frenulum is much easier than
suturing, cleaning cerumen out of ears, doing a circumcision, doing a spinal
tap, starting an IV on a dehydrated 2 yo, removing a foreign body from a
nose, or virtually any other procedure we pediatricians do routinely, that I
can't imagine why most peds are hesitant to do this. Keep up the good work.
