One of my babies (29 years ago) regularly went 7-10 days without a bowel
movement from the time she was 6 weeks to about 4-5 months of age.   I kept
reading and re-reading the section in The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding
indicating that was normal!  That book was so much more dependable than the
ped when it came to bf knowledge and advice!  Years later, during a
discussion on the topic, I recall Dr. Edward Cerutti (long since gone to his
reward) saying that he once had a baby in his practice who stooled after a
60 day "pause."
