Don't be so sure about future bottles :-( The one I nursed for 2 1/2 years
and who grew up surrounded by LLL moms and his older sisters nursing their
babies didn't have any say when his 2 were born :-( DIL did not intend to
nurse, period. Now another son convinced his wife she couldn't even get pg
if she didn't promise to nuse for at least 6 mo :-) When first baby was 6
mo he said "Mom the baby won't quit [bf]". I said "smart baby!" This DIL
has nursed 4 for about 18 mo each :-) So don't count your chickens before
they are hatched :-) Keep an open mind.

The bottle fed grandchildren are beautiful, just probably could have been a
tad smarter if she BF, but seem smart enough at this point (almost 5 and
almost 2). Of course the first one had endless ear aches and the second
had asthma before one year, but I'm sure I couldn't even convince DIL this
was from not BF and I just don't discuss it with her. Being a MIL you
learn when to bite your tongue (either the hard way or the easy way:-)
Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
