I would say that is certainly possible as the explanation, but I was going
one step further and guessing that maybe the breasts were not developed
normally either. However, this does not sound totally plausible because you
say she did experience severe engorgement but the milk would just not come
out. I believe this has been reported with burned breasts that milk could
not exit. Obviously baby had trouble early on with 12% wt loss and jaundice.
You say that <<This mom nursed with SNS and used Classic pump for 2 weeks
and got milk out.>> Did you mean to say she got NO MILK OUT?
Lots of interesting cases on this digest, but Life seems so unfair.
