Treat strep. Don't you think that the goodies in Br milk are working hard
to keep the strep down? I bet if she weans she will have a full blown
mess! Of course then the hcp will be justified to tx with abx.

Question- On the other hand, in a mother with an suspected ductal yeast
infection, when the mom decides to wean, (because of the pain) WITHOUT
treating the probable yeast infection (she chose not to be examined by a
bfdg professional, or anyone knowledgable in that area) , what could be
the next chapter as far as the yeast infection, as she weans( a whole other
story) over several days or more, and then completely stops? In this case
would the yeast find it increasingly harder to survive without the regular
and steady milk supply? I know that the milk won't "disappear" at once, and
may continue to be produced and present in the breast for a long time, but
would the great decrease allow the body to wipe out the yeast on it's own?
Or could she be getting into a potentially harmful situation here? Any
thoughts?
Jennie in hot and humid Israel, perfect place for yeast
