7 month old BFer with history of cardiac problems, reflux and slow weight gain. Mom has perservered with the BF and done a really good job with a difficult baby. Mom had a mild PP depression that was treated briefly with Paxil and counseling. When she discussed her memory loss and lack of concentration with her MD he referred her for neurological evaluation to "cover all the bases." The neurologist (male) told her that her symptoms were related to the hormones of BF and that she should just quit! Boy, was she annoyed with that! We discussed her stress level for the past seven months, lack of sleep and 2 other children and decided that her body was just telling her to slow down BUT CONTINUE BF! Another almost sacrifice on the altar! Linda
