Dear wise ones,

A lay breastfeeding counselor asked me for help in the following situation. I
have not met a situation like this before and would like some input from from
more experienced ones.
Morther of 6wo boy gets sick since the early days of breastfeeding this baby
during breastfeeding, she does not vomit but feels bad and it occacional gets
black for her eyes. She describes it as the feeling one can get after a busy day
with inadequate food intake. Drinking lots of water helps a bit. It mostly
occurs while feeding in a sitting position, lees or not while laying down to
feed. It may occur when the baby cries, sometimes right after latch on, but
mostly with the letdown reflex and the baby starts gulping the milk in.
Her overal health is per mom OK but there is a family history of geriatric
diabetes. Her appetite is low, but she eats what she needs to eat, without
enjoying it. Is still getting sick when smelling carbage like was the case
during pregnancy.
Dr in well baby clinic said it probably had to do with hormones, but did not
give explicite information about that. Hospital referred mom to LLL. Baby is
healthy, but scheduled for an allergy test tomorrow, person that put this case
iunder my attention did not ask further about that.

Thanks in advance,
