When the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine met in San Diego last year, one
of our guest speakers was the Zoo Lactation Physiologist (not sure that's
his correct title).  He stated that kangaroos nurse through pregnancy, and
can have breasts/teats at different stages of lactation simultaneously for
their "tandem nursing" joeys.
