I maintain my stand that breasts can fulfill both roles, simultaneously, if
the attitudes of the people involved let them.

It did not occur to me that the issue of breasts as a sexual magnet affected
anyone other than those people with whom the woman has a sexual
relationship. (See what living in Scandinavia can do to you?)

I find it deeply offensive to need to bother my mind about what strangers
may be thinking when regarding my body. This feeling has nothing to do with
breastfeeding. I would not stop feeding, nor would I ever suggest to any
mother she stop feeding, or conceal herself, just because someone she is not
sexually involved with is having sexual thoughts about her breasts. And
many, many Scandinavian men would accompany their BF partners to demonstrate
at restaurants who showed a negative attitude toward BF-- they are as
militant as we are!

Combating the objectification of women at the expense of their human-ness,
in all contexts, remains an item on my agenda.

cheers
