Patricia says,
<< Dear Teresa, when my first was born 41 years ago it was 24 hours and then
first feed was sugar water to see if she could swallow! Her whole
generation seem pretty normal to me :-) So I too have always found this
info comforting. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ >>
And when my first was born nearly 26 years ago, she was NPO for 12 hours,
followed by a first feed of sterile water, and THEN I could breastfeed her at
16 hours. Somehow we were able to still put men on the moon, develop
computers and the ability to communicate with 2500 people about bf issues all
at once...
It is comforting...
