We have had the same outcome in my area. We have often managed to get pumps
payed for when babies were sick, in NICU, etc so long as the neonatologist
wrote a scrip for the EBM. I think it is worth trying anywhere, b/c it does
send a message about the importance of breastfeeding to insurers.
