Dear Friends:
Can you believe this story, told to me by a friend who has a new
grandbaby:

"Got to tell you about my daughter with her baby. Took her to the ped
yesterday. She weights 11 pounds and is 23 1/2 inches - still totally
breastfed of course. :) Well, the doc first told her that since the baby
nurses every 1 1/2 - 2 hours during the day and sleeps from 11-6 at night
that she should set her alarm for 3 a.m. and nurse her so that she isn't
nursing as much during the day. My daughter flipped!! Asked "why" - good
question, huh?? He said that nursing every two hours during the day is
unreasonable and ties her down too much. Danielle asked in what way. She
told him she is a SAHM and what difference did it make?? She was not waking
her baby to nurse."
    Warmly,
