Jan, I had a mom I tried to help before I knew what hypertrophy of the breast
was, and she went from a 32b to breasts the size of watermelons. No milk
could be expressed, because the tissue was so compressed. I knew the tissue
couldn't let the milk out, but I didn't know what to do. I still don't know
if there is an effective treatment. I will call Randy Craig, an infertility
and women's endocrinologist soon and ask him if there is an effective
treatment. Good luck. Shirley Morris, RN, LMT, IBCLC
