In ref to the post titled "Ophra does it again : not"
does my new title express my feelings?
I agree the couple need to understand things are temporary.
IMHO this is also a cultural problem in the US of people not having much experience with babies until they have their own. Kathy any comment?
"A "touched-out" mother always wants to be talked with. Maybe she can be
touched in the morning, or given a non-sexual massage, like having her
shoulders or feet rubbed. Maybe some household chores could be done without
being asked. His pampering her some now, will pay back a thousand fold, at
some point in the future.
What do you all think?"
Nikki, I think that's a great idea. Often that pay back can be in the very near future. <g>
Ive also told parents that at least tone study shows increased milk production with shoulder rubs.
The bath time for dad is a great idea too, it can become a fun "dad job" ex my wife on the phone saying to her mom "Rob is giving them a bath, he was his shoes and socks off and pants rolled up so I don't want to know how much water is in there"
Rob
