Yes. I see that I myself feed my 3rd child much quicker than I fed my
first. I thought I was cue feeding then too.
But then I would say, "If you think she wants to eat just pass her over here
quickly!" So we'd bounce her for 5 minutes or so until we were "pretty
sure" she wanted to nurse.
Now, by contrast, I say, "If you can't tell what she wants pass her over here
and I'll see if she feels like a little snack." So she gets nursed at the
first peep -- and often will "just take a cup of tea to be polite," as my
mother describes her. So she nurses for less time, but much more often.
And I already knew about bf, supposedly, then too --
