A good point was made recently regarding the need to understand other
cultures and how they function.

An excellent read would be "Ethnicity and Family Therapy" by Monica
McGoldrick (I believe a new edition just came out).  While this is a
"social worker" type of book, it is an easy read for anyone from any
profession or background.  A highly recommend this for anyone working
with families.
