Carol, you must agree, it does sound nicer than 'demand crying'!
Writing as a midwife, I can say that in those very occasional cases when I
am concerned about the fetal well-being, it would be just grand to know that
I could give that dream baby a cue and it would cry, letting me know it was
vigorous and safe (though displeased). Other than that I can't come up with
any times I would give a baby a crying cue!
Elisheva, Monique, any others out there with very fresh dream-come-true
babies... any ideas?

the trenches of the postnatal ward this evening. Talk about squirting
breastmilk into the wind!
