Hello everyone this is my first posting to the Net.
Does Tom Hale or Jack Newman have any information about the antidepressant drug Citalopram hydrobromide, marketed here in Australia by Lundbeck as Cipramil. I have been visiting a woman with a history of bi-polar depression taking the drug and breastfeeding her 10 day old baby. All the info I have been able to find says Cipramil is excreted in the breastmilk in small amounts and the drug has not been found safe for children. Has anyone seen any studies on this drug, as the mother is going to continue to breastfeed unless she has proof that it is dangerous for the baby. Hope someone can help.
