PROJECT SUPERVISOR
Southwest Missouri State University is accepting applications for Project
Supervisor in the Center for Archaeological Research. Responsibilities
include directing small to medium archaeological survey and testing
projects, preparing draft budgets and technical proposals, supervising
artifact analyses, writing technical reports, and assisting other principal
investigators on large projects.
Bacheloršs degree in Anthropology or a related field is required. Masteršs
degree is preferred. Additional requirements include: one year of
experience in contract archaeology working with a university/college,
private firm, and/or government agency; experience in preparing
archaeological reports; strong oral/written communication skills; excellent
interpersonal skills; supervisory experience; functional knowledge of the
use of personal computers and proven report preparation skills; and research
specialization. Research specialization in historical archaeology is
preferred. Salary Range: $22,880-$27,040/annually.
