Not only was this a safer time to deliver, but consider multips birthing at
home. When oh when could you birth in peace during the daytime? When I did
labor support, I simply expected to be called in the middle of the night and
since my clients didn't have "augmentation" of labor, they usually birthed in
the very early morning hours.
