Susan wrote:  concern about <6mo  infant with Hgb of 9.3.   I agree, no supplement for now.  first because the accuracy of the measurement may be off by .3!   What I would make sure of is that the mom is taking a vitamin with iron (30mg is enough) and retest the baby at 7-8 months if the physician is concerned or knows something about the history of this pair that I don't.
