The thing that bothers me about the early introduction of solids, is that
mothers
are often giving huge amounts of inferior food by the time the baby is six
months old. They are also prime candidates for early weaning since their
breastmilk decreases and the baby begins to lose interest. Many physicians
tell mothers to give the baby as much as he will eat.

My hcp told me to start solids at six weeks with my first. Fortunately LLL
told
me to wait until four months. My second was not interested until about nine
months (she has some allergies ) The other two were around six months.
The youngest one found a chocolate chip cookie under the table -- that was
his introduction to solids !
