<< A prominent PhD dairy scientist/physiologist told our Ohio lactation
consultant affiliate that dairy cows are routinely re-bred shortly after
they give birth to a new calf, so are nearly always pregnant when they are
lactating. >>
But, would cows re-breed this soon if left on their own? Would they do this
in the wild?
Cows on a farm have better nutrition and are safer than cows in the wild. My
origional questions re: whether lactation combined with pregnancy is normal
and natural still stand.
