I have worked with moms with various problems (arthritis, paralysis,
missing arm) who breastfed. They did find the use of a "rebozo" or
hammock-type cloth carrier to be very useful. In some cases, they needed
help getting it on, but once on and the baby inside, they could adjust
positions with their good hand/arm and breastfeed well. If their arms were
weak, the arms were also inside the hammock so that they could manage the
baby inside.

In bed, the use of a "body-pillow" which is longer than the regular one,
gave more support to their body as they adjusted to breastfeeding in bed -
and one mom just found she would keep the baby on one side and move more
towards the baby to give the "upper" breast as well as the usual, lower
breast when side-lying.
