<< am I just expecting too much? >>
ABSOLUTELY NOT! if someone gives a conference and leaves out extremely
important information, gives incorrect information (blatantly incorrect,
esp.), then you should definitely speak up. contact everyone you can think
of, starting with the speakers who presented or omitted information you
thought pertinent to the talk.
speak up when they are speaking, too. "aren't asthma rates impacted by
breastfeeding or lack of breastfeeding?"
why not? is there some rule saying you shouldn't speak up about bad
information? what about all the other people who attended and *don't know*
how important this is. were their beliefs challenged or changed? nope.
so get with it. you just got politically active.
