Well Pat, in my samplesize of 2 (my sister and me) it's only half way thrue:
Me and my sister have similar bodilyb appearences and tend to be overweiught if
we don't count every bite we take (usually I'm ca. 40% overweight, she's better
able to control or better able to control her will :-) ) She's had 4 and I 5
children. She didn't hardly gain any weight during pregn's, but gained a lot
(more than 10-15 kiligrams) during lactation (9-12 months). I gained 15-20
kiligrams during pregn's but lost easily while lactating (9-42 months)
About gaining overweight in breastfed kids BTW:
I've brestfed all my children as often and as much and as long as they wished,
never ordered then after that to finish their plate at mealtime or in other ways
urge them to eat if they didn't feel like. I've 2 of them now (1 boy and 1 girl)
who have my tendency to gain overweight very easy, 2 boys who can eat whatever
they want and just grow fine, not under- nor overweight and 1 girl that can
manage to don't overgrow by taking care not to overlaod herself and add an
occasional diet day.
Do any of you have any explainations to that?
