The June 2000 cover of Contemporary Pediatrics (Vol. 17, No. 6, pp. 98-121)
has a picture of a mom and gorgeous baby co-sleeping with the caption "The
Co-sleeping Controversy." Article (Co-sleeping: Can we ever put the issue
to rest? by Jane Anderson, MD) is well-balanced and thoughtfully written.
Good quotes from McKenna. Careful review of SIDS & co-sleeping articles
and how they arrived at results and errors. Parent handout sheet is "How
to help your baby sleep safely" and addresses: general safety for sleeping,
safety "if your baby sleeps in a crib" and safety "if your baby shares a
bed with you."
Page 123 is a Clinician's Crossword called "The Milky Way." from 3 folks at
the Breastfeeding Center at Boston Medical Center, Philipp, Powell & Watt.
A fun thing to pass out at meetings while waiting for all to gather :-)
Get permission from Contemporary Peds first, of course.
Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
