Hi, I'm not allowed to comment on this, bc I haven't read the article yet.
It will take a while before I can get my hands on it (but I will!).
Still, I have a question...
Within our breastfeeding organization the following question came up:
A surgeon who had done several breast reductions had seen the lactation
failure in some woman with large breasts and said that the reduction in
some cases could improve lactation. His reasoning was as follows: he had
observed that the milk ducts and mammary tissue in some very large breasts
were too low in the breast, and the nerves were become too stretched.
The description he gives is that of the pendular breasts (at the base the
tissue is soo thin, that the upper and lower skin of the breast almost
touch each other). Another observation he gave is that these breasts had
insenstitive nipples.
Since he has seen the breasts from inside, I guess it may make soms sense.
What do you think of it?
regards,
