Kathy Parkes's case: I don't know that my first thought would be
inflammatory breast cancer with a bilateral presentation of such symmetry.
Given the infected c-section incision, I'm thinking staph. or strep.
spreading from the incision. I know that fever is still considered the
definitive symptom for mastitis, but I had a mom this week whose right
breast drained 1/2 liter (!) of pus from an abscess. No fever. I don't
think that sx is reliable to rule out mastitis.
