with the diflucan for another week and a 1 wk course of gentian violet to
herself and babe. Interestingly enough she saw no improvement until the 6th
day when all s/s disappeared! That totals 3 wks. diflucan and 6 days gentian
violet. She is convinced it was the gentian violet that worked, I don't
know......Does anyone have any thoughts?

I'm ducking from the start just in case any medical types on the list tell me
this is crazy, but I read at one point that diflucan tends to be inffective
on the more resistant strains of yeast, so that mothers often find no
resolution with its use. Now, docs in my area are into the totally useless
one-time treatment, so I don't have first-hand experience to go on. Around
here, gv is likely to be the solution.
