telling the truth is not bashing. refusing to tell the truth about formula
means that it is presented as acceptable and safe. refusing to tell the truth
about formula is promoting formula use and degrading the nature of
breastfeeding.
if you wish to teach people to not smoke, would you refrain from pointing out
the risks of smoking? after all, that would be "tobacco bashing." its not a
lifestyle choice, its a health choice. once that is clearly understood, then
justifying promoting formula will not be necessary.
"I was always taught breastfeeding speaks for itself."
obviously not, especially if one were to "not be allowed to bash formula" as
part of teaching about breastfeeding.
