A 6 day pp mom originally had positional soreness, which was corrected and
soreness resolved. At that visit, slight white coating on tongue noticed;
when it blossomed a week later, ped prescribed nystatin for baby and
suggested mom start using lotrimon four times a day prophylactically (she
was not symptomatic). After 1 week+ of their dual treatment, baby started
clearing and mom's nipples became sore. Very pink nipples, with slight pink
halo suggested of where baby's mouth would be while nursing. Considering she
had been using lotrimon for a little over a week before she became sore
again, what would your assessment and plan of action be?
