I again beg to disagree with what seems to be a unanimous approval of nipple
shields for premature babies. I believe that the same thing can be done by
getting a good latch and using compression. Perhaps in some cases, but as a
routine, I just don't believe it. Babies tend to fall asleep at the breast
when milk flow is slow. A good latch and compression will keep them awake
and breastfeeding.
