I am working with a mom and baby who have no other problems except one major
one-baby won't latch. They have used bottles, finger feeding and cup feeding.
Baby is 5 weeks old and mom is very motivated. Supply is good. I suspect
severe nipple confusion and have already searched the archives. Mom has
followed all basic suggestions I have given except completely eliminating
bottles. On a home visit, baby latched and nursed 10 minutes while I was
there-none since. Baby and mom are anatomically OK also. asre the any
suggestions from you experts out there? Also is finger feeding "better" than
bottles for this problem-archives had differing opinions. Pleases e-mail me
privately or on Lactnet. Thanks very much.
