This can lead to a drop in mother's milk supply by itself.

Infrequent feeding can lead to a drop in milk supply.

Often a time when there is *perceived* drop in supply because women
frequently stop leaking and/or feeling heavy and full between feeds.
That supply and demand phase of lactation starts to really begin.

Often nurslings nurse more frequently when they are coming down with
something - another misleading perception. Moms are often run down when
they come down with illness which also can lead to a drop in supply.
I'm not trying to be a pain in the tookus but point out that these
events in and of themselves can lead a mom to believe she has a drop in
supply. It doesn't necessarily have to mean the depo brought it on. I
do believe for some women the depo is enough to make a drop happen just
not every or even most moms.
