Am wondering what the state regulations are on this situation? Licensed
facilities may not give a child something which the parent expressly
disallows. For instance, if someone kept kosher and specifically stated
that their child was not allowed any type of food w/o previous approval,
this would be a huge problem. What about the child with allergies?
I realize the mother may not be able to change child care providers at
this time. However, she might want to start looking for a new facility.
She might also want to contact the state licensing board.
She should make sure that there is a note in the child's file that no ABM
is to be given without her written approval.
Seems they are making things even harder for this mom.
