It is my understanding that if a person is allergic for one 'member' of a
certain plant family, chances are high that that will also be the case for
some/all others (depending on the severity). On the other hand, there seems to
be a link between cow's milk proteine and soy proteine allergy, allthough the
two are completely different (animal and plant). As for beans/legumes, it seems
that peanuts, soy and peas tend to be more allergenic and the others less. But
this is all very individual and has to be sorted out person by person. Some
breastfeeding moms say that they feel they have to be a kind of Sherlock Holms
to figure out what exactly it is that their kids are allergic or hypersensitive
to.
