I completely agree that this book is one of the best resources
around, and a bargain at almost any price, and that making good use
of last year's edition (when you buy the new one for yourself)  makes a
great deal of sense.

To that end, we actually have given copies to both our pediatrician, and
our OB/GYN - both of whom were very appreciative indeed, and have
mentioned making nearly immediate use of the book.

I think that old copies donated to hospital L&D wards, pediatrician's
offices, OB/GYN offices, and libraries, is a great way to maximize the
gifts usefullness.
