I do recommend acidophilus when taking antibiotics and when dealing with
yeast - wherever it may be. As to the explanation why taking oral
acidophilus would help with a vag yeast infection, my understanding is that
the good bacteria colonize the gut and the bacteria move from the anal
region to the vaginal region (the perianal region) and colonize both.
