Subject: stringy milk revisited (and again long)
I had one mom with recurrent plugged ducts unrelieved by normal measures.
She said she also experienced sinus problems at the same time as the plugged
ducts.
I suggested she talk with her doctor about trying Flonase (fluticasone
propionate) metered nasal spray to treat the sinus problem and see if it
helped the plugged ducts. She called back a couple of months later and said
she hadn't had any recurrance of the plugged ducts or sinusitis since using
the Flonase.
It might be worth a try with your mom. Culturing the milk seems a logical
thing to do to rule out infection.
