<(Did you ever notice that no one "tries" formula-feeding?)

Yeah, but I've sure talked with a lot of formula-feeding moms who wished
they could go back and start all over again - they say they'd choose BFing
in a heartbeat, once they've been through all the hassles that come when a
baby "can't tolerate" various formulas. All the fussing around trying to
find the "right" formula, the spitting and cranky babies, all the trips to
the doctors' offices, all the lost nights of sleep over the ear-aches and
the asthma, all the expense of the various formulas...Best advertisement I
ever found for breastfeeding when I worked at WIC was WIC moms who had gone
through that whole formula mess with one baby, BF the next, and had it work
the way it's s'posed to! Those sisters would be testifying in the waiting
room! Preaching to the others! A regular "come to Jesus" chorus, once you
got 'em started.
